Kai Trump will have multiple well-known supporters when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she stated.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and relax," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."

Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events recently and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.

Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to play, relax, and go with whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to new audiences, particularly with youth audiences.

The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living company.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
