The star midfielder Functioned in a forward spot on the right and did plenty of defensive duties. Showed moments of class but scuffed an effort high. Replaced late on by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Had the team's best chance of the first half, his strike smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to provide width on the right but his crosses from the touchline were inconsistent. Taken off late in the match. 6

The captain The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. The first a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a superb headed goal having drifted away away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a presentable chance when set up by Bellingham but the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater effect in his place. 5/10
