"A New Contender Has Appeared."

Within the fiercely contested arena of video games, it's typical for emerging rivals to fade away as swiftly as they burst on to the stage.

However the latest Battlefield is striving to alter that.

This is the latest entry in a long-running warfare game series often described as a more authentic response to the CoD series.

This game has seldom succeeded to rival its top opponent in regards of sales or gamers, but there are signs the new installment could narrow the difference.

An early access session allowing players a chance to try out the game in recent months broke records, and the buzz approaching its launch has been huge.

However the undertaking is still a big venture for developer Electronic Arts, which has allegedly allocated huge sums of money making it.

We have spoken to some of the developers to find out how they aim it will succeed.

Creation Group and Developer Cooperation

Four studios have been developing the project under the collaborative initiative.

They include veteran creator Dice, based in Europe, LA's Motive team and the Canadian studio in the Great White North.

Building On Previous Errors

This title follows the heels of the futuristic Battlefield 2042, released four years ago to a negative reception it had difficulty to bounce back from.

"We most likely would find it impossible to build and design Battlefield 6 lacking the insights we acquired in the previous title," the manager shares with the press.

Among those takeaways was to involve fans participating from the start, and the studio started invite-only community playtests earlier this year.

This "feedback was explosively positive," says Rebecka.

One more absent element from the previous installment was a single-player campaign, which has been reintroduced this time around.

The UK studio creative lead Fas Salim is the person responsible for "ensuring those levels are as entertaining and interesting as can be for the gamers."

In spite of claims that the size of the project had challenged the different developers partnering internationally to create the project, he is optimistic about the process.

"Working with varied backgrounds, distinct backgrounds, it's a very interesting atmosphere to be involved in on a regular basis," he says.

"This entire method has been a fresh take but something truly exciting because we are working with team members from internationally."

As for the expectation on the developers, Fas comments: "There is demand but also it's exciting.

"We're dealing with a big project. It's probably the largest that the majority of the team have before worked on."
